Barbara D. Bonar, Esq.
Barbara Bonar is a licensed attorney in Ohio and Kentucky, and has recognized experience
in all issues regarding employee/employer relations, including whistleblower claims,
workplace standards, executive contracts, discrimination, harassment, retaliation,
conflict resolution, wage and hour laws, employee benefits, and personnel policies
and procedures.
Barbara is particularly known for her accomplishments as a civil trial lawyer, especially
in obtaining substantial awards for her clients in the areas of whistleblower claims
and workplace discrimination litigation. She is a tenured national speaker on workplace
issues and employment trial techniques.
Barbara was founder and President of the Kentucky Employment Lawyers Association
and active in several national organizations that advocate for employees, including
the National Employment Lawyers Association, Taxpayers Against Fraud, the National
Whistleblower Defense Fund, and several other local and state Bar employment law
sections. Barbara speaks regionally to Bar association groups and Chamber of Commerce
organizations on a broad spectrum of employment, personnel, conflict resolution,
and business-related topics.
Barbara is a certified mediator and arbitrator, and has served on extensive
local and regionally-recognized mediation and arbitration panels throughout the
Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area, including twenty-two years on the American Arbitration
Association (AAA) panel.
Barbara has served as the elected Governor to the Kentucky Bar Association Board
for over six years, and subsequently as Vice President, President-Elect, and President
of that association, which is integrated with the Supreme Court’s discipline
process.
Barbara has both her undergraduate degree in Urban Planning (1975), and her
Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky (1984). After clerking for Chief Justice
Robert F. Stephens of the Kentucky Supreme Court, Barbara began her employment law
experience as corporate counsel for two separate insurance companies. She has also
served as an adjunct professor in legal writing at Salmon P. Chase College of Law
(1987 - 1992). Barbara’s Bar Admissions include: Commonwealth of Kentucky (1984),
State of Ohio (1990), Supreme Court of the United States (2003), United States District
Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and Southern District of Ohio. Barbara
has also served on the Board of the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys. She is
a member of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association,
the American Trial Lawyers Association, and a Barrister with the Salmon P. Chase
Inn of Court. She served on the Kentucky Governor’s Commission on Small Business
Advocacy, and has served on several business committees for the Northern Kentucky
Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of the Northern Kentucky Lawyers for the Poor.
Throughout the years, Ms. Bonar has also contributed to the legal community through
her many publications and presentations to
other members of the Kentucky Bar. While President of the Kentucky Bar
Association, Barbara initiated and Chaired the Commonwealth’s first “Rule of Law
Symposium”. Barbara is currently rated by her peers with a Martindale-Hubbell
“AV Preeminent” rating, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and
ethical standards.

Anthony J. Bucher, Esq.
Anthony J. Bucher has been a life-long resident
of Ludlow, Kentucky. In addition to his B.B.A. in finance from the University of
Kentucky (1993), Tony has acquired a Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law (1997)
and a M.Ed. in Sport Administration from Xavier University (2001). Tony is admitted
to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and in the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Tony primarily concentrates his practice in the area of employment litigation and
he has successfully represented individuals asserting claims of sex discrimination,
sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination, and retaliation.
In addition to representing employees in discrimination, harassment and retaliation
cases, Tony is also experienced in negotiating severance agreements and litigating personal
injury cases.
Prior to joining B. Dahlenburg Bonar, P.S.C., Tony served as a Staff Attorney for
Judges Douglas Stephens and Patricia Summe of the Kenton County Circuit Court from
1998 - 2001. Tony is currently a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Northern
Kentucky Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and is currently
serving as a Member of the Board of Education for the Ludlow Independent School
District.

Theresa M. Mohan, Esq.
Theresa (Terri) Mohan was born in Michigan and currently resides in Park Hills,
Kentucky. Terri received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University
and her J.D., with honors, from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky
University. Terri is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth
of Kentucky. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court
and the U.S. District Courts in the Southern District of Ohio and both the Eastern
and Western Districts of Kentucky.
While in law school, Terri was a member and officer of the Moot Court Board and
Student Bar Association. Terri was the 1999-2000 American Bar Association/Law Student
Division Student Bar Association President of the Midwest Region.
Terri is an adjunct professor with the Academic Development Program at Northern
Kentucky University. She has also been a lecturer and contributor to Continuing
Legal Education seminars and legal publications including Northern Kentucky Law
Review, NBI, and Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers. Terri is a Barrister with the
Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court and serves as a mentor to law students who participate
in the Chase Inn of Court program.
In addition to being an alumni member of the local Junior Chamber of Commerce, Terri
is a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky and is involved in Chamber of Commerce
committees in the Northern Kentucky Region.
Terri’s Labor and Employment practice includes representing employees and employers
in unemployment hearings and appeals. In addition to representing people in harassment,
discrimination, class action and civil rights matters, Terri also represents children
and families in a variety of Family Court and Juvenile Court cases. Terri is certified
to act as a Guardian ad Litem in the courts in Kentucky and Ohio. Recently, the
Administrative Office of the Court appointed Terri to serve as a Special Judge in
Kentucky’s Teen Court program.
Terri recently completed her term on the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky
Bar Association. She is currently an active member of several professional associations
including Northern Kentucky Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, Kentucky
Bar Association and Northern Kentucky Collaborative Law Group. Terri served as a
committee member on the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Membership Services and Development
Committee.

Benita Fields Land, Esq.
Benita Fields Land is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the
Eastern District of Kentucky. Ms. Land received her Bachelor’s Degree in English
Literature from Eastern Kentucky University and her Juris Doctorate from Salmon
P. Chase College of Law. While attending Chase College of Law, Ms. Land clerked
for Magistrate Judge Gregory Wehrman in the Eastern District of Kentucky.
After law school, Benita started working as an associate for the Law Offices of
B. Dahlenburg Bonar, P.S.C., where she focused on labor and employment litigation
cases. Specifically, several of these cases stemmed from retaliation, harassment
and wrongful termination of employees. Ms. Land was also involved in class action
litigation cases and a qui tam action while at B. Dahlenburg Bonar.
Due to the nature of the cases, Ms. Land was involved with the National Employment
Lawyers Association and the Kentucky Employment Lawyers Association. While in Kentucky,
Ms. Land was also actively involved with the Northern Kentucky Bar Association,
specifically the Women Lawyers Section. Ms. Land continues to be a member of the
Kentucky Bar Association.
In 2005, Ms. Land moved to Houston, Texas, where she worked as a legal recruiter
for two years. Recently, Ms. Land has rejoined the B. Dahlenburg Law Firm, working
remotely from Houston.

John A. Bonar, Esq., of Counsel
John A. Bonar currently resides in Lakeside Park, Kentucky with his wife, Barbara
D. Bonar, and children, Alexandra and Ian. John is a graduate of Northern Kentucky
University (B.S. Summa Cum Laude, 1979), majoring in Economics and Mathematics.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law (Order of the
Curia, 1982) and is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (1982)
and State of Ohio (1983). In addition, he is licensed to practice before the U.S.
Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, U.S. District Court, Eastern District Court of
Kentucky and Southern District of Ohio.
John has previously been an adjunct professor with Northern Kentucky University
(1989-1996), teaching Real Estate Law and has been a lecturer and contributor to
local and statewide legal seminars. John currently serves as Chair of the Kentucky
Bar Foundation’s IOLTA Board of Trustees and is on the Executive Committee and Investment
Committee of the Kentucky Bar Foundation.
John primarily concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate transactions,
corporate and business law, and estates.
